Meet Our Executive Chef & Co-Owner, Simmi Kumar
With over 30 years of experience, Chef Simmi Kumar has perfected traditional Indian cooking through family recipes passed down for generations. She began her journey at 17, preparing meals for large family gatherings with instinct and passion.
After immigrating to San Francisco, she launched Simmi’s Boutique while staying deeply involved in her community. Her culinary talents became a staple at fundraisers, festivals, and private events. In 2024, she co-founded Tandoori Life Catering with her son, Chef Rohan, crafting every dish with authenticity and love.
Meet Our Sous Chef & Co-Owner, Rohan Kumar
Born in New Delhi and raised in San Francisco, Chef Rohan Kumar grew up in his mother’s kitchen, sparking his passion for cooking. By high school, he was already working with top San Francisco catering companies. With 14 years of industry experience, he now leads kitchen operations and menu innovation at Tandoori Life.
As Sous Chef and Co-Owner, Rohan ensures seamless execution at every event, delivering high-quality meals to tech firms, law offices, and private clients. A father of three, he balances family life with his love for cooking and entrepreneurship.
